Getting Started
How do I place my first order with Mac Leather?
Getting started is simple – just reach out to our team with your requirements. Tell us what you are looking for – styles, quantities, materials, and any customisation details – and we will work with you to develop a plan and provide a detailed quotation. Every project is different, so we take the time to understand exactly what you need before production begins. For first-time buyers, we always recommend starting with a sample order to evaluate the quality, fit, and craftsmanship before committing to a bulk run.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our minimum order quantity for bulk production is 20 pieces in a single colour. This can be a mix of product types – for example, 10 jackets and 10 trousers in the same colour. We also produce one-of-one pieces without any issue, so whether you need a single sample, a small batch, or a large production run, we can accommodate your requirements. Just get in touch, and we will work something out.
How do I request samples?
You can request samples by contacting us at info@macleatherco.com, via our contact page, by calling 0332 2121282, or via WhatsApp. There is no limit on the number of samples you can order – we produce as many as you require. Sample development typically takes up to four weeks, during which we create your sample to the exact specifications you provide – including leather type, colour, hardware, lining, and labelling. Sample costs are quoted separately, and payment is accepted via PayPal, T/T, or bank transfer.
Do you work with startups and new brands?
We love working with new brands – it is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Our low minimum order quantity of just 20 pieces makes us an ideal manufacturing partner for startups and emerging labels who are not yet ordering in the thousands. We particularly enjoy creative, niche, and fashion-forward projects, especially complicated, detailed work that larger factories often turn away. If you have a bold idea or unique design concept that pushes boundaries, we are the team to bring it to life. We provide hands-on guidance throughout the entire process, from material selection to finished product, so even if you have never worked with a manufacturer before, you are in good hands.
Materials & Products
What types of leather do you work with?
We work exclusively with genuine leather. Our range includes lambskin, cowhide, goatskin, sheepskin, and shearling – each available in a variety of finishes, weights, and colours. We also offer suede and nubuck for softer, textured looks. If you have a specific material or finish in mind, let us know – we source from trusted tanneries and can accommodate most requests.
Do you only manufacture jackets, or do you make other products too?
We manufacture a full range of leather goods. While leather jackets are our signature product, our factory also produces leather bags, belts, wallets, gloves, and a variety of accessories. Every product benefits from the same craftsmanship and attention to detail. Whether you need a leather line or a single product type, we can handle the production from start to finish. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Can I send my own designs for production?
Yes, and we encourage it. Our operation is built around bringing your designs to life. Send us tech packs, sketches, reference photos, or a physical sample you want replicated or modified. Our pattern-making and design team will work with you to refine every detail – from leather selection and stitching patterns to hardware, lining, labels, and packaging. We produce an approval sample first, and bulk production begins only once you are completely satisfied.
What jacket styles do you specialise in?
We specialise in all major jacket silhouettes – biker jackets, bomber jackets, racer jackets, blazers, trench coats, shearling jackets, aviator jackets, and shirt-style leather jackets. We produce both classic and contemporary designs for men and women. Whether you need a timeless double-rider or a fashion-forward cropped silhouette, our team has the expertise to deliver. We are especially known for complicated, intricate designs that require a high level of craftsmanship – if you can envision it, we can make it. Send us your designs, and we will get started.
Production & Quality
How long does production take?
Production timelines depend on the order type. Sample development typically takes up to four weeks from the date we confirm all specifications. Bulk production orders take 30 to 45 days, depending on the order size, design complexity, and material availability. We provide a confirmed production schedule with every order and keep you updated at each stage – from material sourcing through cutting, stitching, finishing, and final quality inspection. If you are working to a specific launch date, let us know early so we can plan accordingly.
What certifications do you hold?
We hold essential industry certifications that underscore our commitment to quality, compliance, and sustainability. Our manufacturing practices follow ethical sourcing standards, sustainable production methods, and fair labour practices. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy on child labour and actively promote women in leadership roles within our workforce. Full details on our certifications and CSR commitments are available on our CSR & Certifications page. Compliance documentation is available upon request for any order.
Can I arrange third-party quality inspections?
Yes. We fully support third-party quality inspections at any stage of production – pre-production, during production, or pre-shipment. You are welcome to use any internationally recognised inspection agency of your choice, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek. We also conduct our own rigorous internal quality checks on every order, including material inspection, in-line production checks, and a final piece-by-piece review before packing. Transparency and accountability are fundamental to how we operate.
What happens if there is a quality issue with my order?
We stand behind every product we manufacture. If you identify a quality issue upon receiving your order, contact us immediately at info@macleatherco.com with photographs and a description of the problem. We will investigate promptly and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include replacing affected pieces, rework, or a credit towards your next order. Our goal is a long-term partnership, and we take every quality concern seriously. That said, quality issues are rare – our multi-stage inspection process catches the vast majority of defects before goods leave our facility.
Shipping & Payment
Do you ship internationally? What are the shipping options?
Yes, we ship worldwide. For air freight, we work with DHL, FedEx, and UPS – ideal for sample orders and smaller shipments where speed is a priority. For larger bulk orders, we offer sea freight under FOB Karachi or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms to your destination port. Our logistics team will recommend the most cost-effective shipping method based on your order size, weight, and delivery timeline. Typical air freight delivery takes 3 to 7 business days, while sea freight ranges from 15 to 40 days, depending on the destination.
What are your payment terms?
We accept payment via T/T (Telegraphic Transfer / bank wire), Letter of Credit (L/C), and PayPal (for sample orders). Payment terms are discussed and agreed upon on a per-order basis. Full payment details and our bank information are provided with every proforma invoice. Get in touch to discuss terms for your project.
Are there customs duty advantages when importing from Pakistan?
Yes, and this is a significant benefit for buyers in the European Union and the United Kingdom. Pakistan qualifies for the GSP+ (Generalised Scheme of Preferences Plus) trade arrangement, which means leather goods manufactured in Pakistan enter the EU and UK markets at 0% customs duty. This gives your brand a meaningful cost advantage over sourcing from countries without preferential trade status. We provide all required documentation, including certificates of origin, to ensure your shipment qualifies for duty-free entry.
